The Wilkes County Board of Education announced last week that several positions have been filled in the school system.

Becky Griffin and Greta Cosby were hired as paraprofessionals at the primary school, Angela Wooten as an elementary school parapro, Paula Butts as a middle school Special Ed teacher, and Shameka Davis as a middle school parapro.

Amelia Wheatley, Latanya Chapman, and Dawn Harper were approved as substitute teachers.

Transportation director James Callaway recommended Elizabeth Wilson Chapman, Kimberley Paschall Jenkins, and Tim B. Crook as substitute bus drivers.

Nutrition director Rebecca R. Davis requested that these individuals be added to the food service substitute list: Bessie M. Cullars, Shelley H. Parker, Stacy S. Woods, Juanita S. Norman, Cynthia H. Johnson, Robbin M. Anderson, and Sandra W. Stewart.
