Transforming Life Ministries to celebrate 12th anniversary
Transforming Life Ministries will observe its twelfth anniversary worship service, along with the birthday and pastoral celebration for Pastor Amethyst D. Wynn on Sunday, September 4.
The services will be held at the Third Shiloh Center, 219 McLendon Drive, Washington, at 3 p.m.
Pastor Charlie Maddox of Twin Oak Baptist Church, Washington, will be the guest speaker. The theme for the day will be, “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto Thy name, O Most High.” Psalm 92:1.
Ministers Charlie and Rosie Crawford of Laborers and Harvest Outreach Ministry, Covington, will be guest masters of ceremonies. Songs of praise will be rendered by the Singing Angels, Brenda Nunnaly, Springfield Community Choir, Twin Oak Choir, and the Virtuous Women of Praise.
Dinner will be served following the program.
Pastor Maddox joined Hill Chapel Baptist Church in 1955 and served in the church for many years. He attended the University of Georgia in Athens and served in the United States Army. He is currently employed with the Georgia Department of Labor where he has worked for 22 years. He has served his community in many capacities and will be running for mayor in Athens. He and his wife, Linda Hill Maddox, have three daughters.
