The North Wilkes Steering Committee met on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the old school lunchroom.

Those present were Margie Bunch, Brooke Dawson, Gloria Ware, Carolyn Gammon, Jessie Shoemaker, Celeste Adams, Margaret Fortson, Pat Grimaud, Susannah Carter, Cissy Echols and Eudora Huyck. Our new member, Malinda Luke Mills, was welcomed.

It was reported that Sunny Parker is installing additional electrical outlets in the lunchroom. After this, attention will be given to building a storage closet in the kitchen area.

After a discussion of plans for the festival, everyone participated in folding, stuffing, addressing and stamping letters to our vendors.

The next meeting of the North Wilkes Steering Committee will be on Tuesday, September 20, 6:30 p.m., at the lunchroom. Come and join us.
