GED tests will be given in Washington Wilkes on September 8 and 9 in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church.

Signup is mandatory and will be held on Thursday, September 1, at 6 p.m., in the Wilkes County Adult Learning Center located in the old Wilkes Village Shopping Center behind McDonalds.

Three items are required for signup: a money order for $55 for complete test or $11 per section; a picture identification (driver’s license or state ID); and Social Security number.
