The Taliaferro County Labor Day Fair will be honoring military men and women serving or who have served in the Iraq of Afganistan wars and who live in Taliaferro, Wilkes, and surrounding counties.

Family members are asked to supply the following information to the Fair committee so that these soldiers can be honored at the Fair: Name; rank or grade; branch of service; date and place served; and the address of the veteran or family. Family members are also urged to attend the Fair even if their son or daughter is still overseas. The program will begin at 1 p.m. at the traffic light in the middle of Crawfordville.

Music for the event will be provided by the United States Army Band from Ft. Gordon. The Labor Day parade will follow.
