Hummingbird Hill, the home of Pug and Kay Nelms in Logan Woods, was the scene of the Adult Bible Searchers of First Baptist Church summer salad supper Saturday evening, August 20.

Members and guests were welcomed at the front door by the host and invited inside to a festivelydecorated home filled with colorful sunflowers and roosters in various shapes and designs.

Tables were covered with colorful cloths or mats and coordinating napkins and centered with votive candlesticks or colorful wild yellow daisies from the garden of Louise McClearen.

A bountiful covered dish of favorite salads, croissants, and cheese straws was enjoyed with delicious homemade desserts.

Mrs. Nelms formally welcomed everyone as they gathered around the spacious den. After sharing a humorous reading, “We Survived”, Jeff Franklin offered the blessing.

A wonderful time of fellowship was enjoyed both during and after dinner.

Joining the hosts were guests, David and Louise McClearen, David and Gail Hunter, Laura and Joseph Baldwin, and members, Wayne and Sharon Williamson, Gary and Dean Mansfield, Bill and Teresa Bishop, Gene and Lynne Land, Lloyd and Bobbie Johnson, Dan and Beverly Corbett, Jeff and Lisa Franklin, Brian and Joann Baldwin, and Edward and Susan Pope.
