The Woman’s Club entertained at a membership tea on Monday afternoon, August 15, at the clubhouse on North Alexander Avenue.

The executive board composed of Barbara Roberts, Janet Burgess, Bunny Boyd, Dean Mansfield, Melissa Grant, Mary McPherson, Jean Steed, Mary Duggan, and Susan Branan, served as hostesses.

The clubhouse was decorated in a late summer theme by Mrs. McPherson who used colorful sunflowers and greenery. A large arrangement of sunflowers, berries and greenery filled an antique green vase that centered the tea table. From the table, members and guests enjoyed afternoon tea cakes, assorted tea sandwiches, cheese straws, nuts and punch.

Members and guests visited during this time of fellowship and got acquainted with the mission and goals of the Woman’s Club.
