Victory Baptist Church on the Newtown Road in WashingtonWilkes is sponsoring a series of English classes at the church on Wednesday nights.

The classes are an effort by the church to assist the Hispanic persons working in the County in learning English so that they may better understand the American way of life.

The classes are free and will begin October 26 at 7:15 p.m. at the church. There are also classes (Awana) for children.

The church is located of Highway 78, on the Newtown Road near the Washington-Wilkes Airport.
