Woman’s Club members enjoy program on holiday decorations

Shay Harris and June Baston presented a most informative and entertaining program to members of the Woman’s Club at the luncheonprogram meeting Monday, October 10, at the clubhouse.

Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Baston demonstrated the construction and presentation of numerous Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations to the delight of those attending. They were introduced by Susan Branan.

Prior to the program Mrs. Branan presided in the absence of Barbara Roberts, president. Bunny Boyd offered the devotional.

Jane Bundy and Lynda Woodard were presented certificates of membership bringing the new membership total for the year to 21.

Members voted to donate $100 each to the Cancer Walk scheduled for November 4 and the Angel Tree Program.

Members were also reminded of the yard sale at the clubhouse November 5 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Kathy Overstreet and Vada Hale are co-chairmen of the event.

Hostesses were Vada Hale, Ruth Holes, Mary Ann Bentley, Ann Tanner and Laura Toburen. Tables were decorated in a fall motif.
