Amanda Walters of Winder, brideelect of Gordon Hendry, also of Winder, was honored with a dropin miscellaneous shower and marriage advice brunch Wednesday, September 28, at The Classic Center in Athens. Mrs. Tim Smith of Athens was hostess for the occasion.

The bride-elect wore a black pantsuit with a pinstripe shirt and matching accessories. She was presented a corsage of spray roses and larkspur upon her arrival.

Each guest was asked to write down a piece of marriage advice on a card to give to the bride-elect.

The refreshment table was covered with a white linen cloth overlaid with white lace. A vase of fresh daisies centered the table. From the table, guests enjoyed spinach quiche, vegetable quiche, miniature ham biscuits, glazed and chocolate donuts, as well as a variety of flavored coffees and teas and hot chocolate.

Thirty guests attended.
