Senior athletes to be honored at halftime; game tickets on sale

2005-10-13 / Sports

The Lincoln County football game is special enough in its own right but a couple of things will make the 2005 edition special in other ways.

First of all, pregame ceremonies will recognize and honor senior athletes other than football players. Beginning shortly before kickoff, around 7 p.m., senior members of the Washington-Wilkes Cross County teams, the Lady Tigers Softball team, and the Varsity Cheerleader squad will be presented on the field for their annual “senior night,” according to W-W Athletic Director Russell Morgan.

Also, in order to facilitate fans’ entry into the ball game on Friday, advance ticket sales are now ongoing at the W-WCHS administration office. At $6.00 each, the tickets will be on sale through Friday, October 14, at 1 p.m. to help fans avoid standing in line before (or during) the ball game at the stadium.
