The event is being promoted by the teens and the church and the entire congregation is excited to host the program. There is no cost for the concert, however, an offering will be received and canned food items will be accepted at the door as a donation to help fee struggling families in our area.

Refreshments will be available at a reasonable charge after the concert.

The Washington Church of God is sponsoring a contemporary Christian Concert on Sunday, October 16, at 5 p.m.

The concert will feature “Soul Purpose,” one of Georgia’s finest up and coming Christian contemporary bands, according to Pastor Pat Owens.

Owens says that the group is based in Augusta and is growing in popularity and demand among teens, young adults and lovers of the contemporary sound. “Soon,” Owens says, they will be on an international tour with groups such as “Third Day” and “Tait.”
