Superintendent visits Kiwanis Club

Wilkes County School Superintendent Joyce Williams (right) gave a presentation discussing “Academic Achievement is Job One” and reported that the local schools are “alive, well, and doing fine.” She made the presentation at the regular meeting of the Washington Kiwanis Club where she also told members of plans for the new school complex to be built on the Tignall Road and said she hopes that groundbreaking can take place in February 2006.
