The Young-at-Heart Club of the First United Methodist Church enjoyed a trip to the mountains of Georgia and North Carolina on Thursday, October 20.

The group left Washington early and stopped at the Berryman House Restaurant in Bowman for breakfast.

Their next stops were in Mountain City and Dillard where they bought apples, cider, many fresh vegetables and garden flowers.

Lunch at one of their favorites, The Fireside Restaurant, in Highlands, N.C., and browsing the many Highland shops filled the early afternoon.

The group enjoyed another scenic route on the way home traveling through Cashiers, Wahalla and Fairplay, S.C. before returning to Georgia.

On the trip were Hugh and Sue Warren, Henry Moone, Wanda White, Wilma Bunch, Rich and Gale Siebert, Gertrude Tyler and Lewis and Ann Cook.
