W-W Shelter sets auction Nov. 18 to aid bldg. fund

The Washington-Wilkes Humane Shelter Association will hold a silent auction to benefit the building fund on Friday, November 18, 7-9 p.m., at the Edward Pope Community Center on Lexington Avenue.

Bidding on all items will close at 9 p.m., and the names of high bidders will be announced.

Useful, tasty, decorative, and unique items will be up for bid and they usually go at bargain prices. Each item will have a bid sheet, and bidders will print their name and amount of bid on it.

Most items have a starting bid of only $1.00 with $1.00 minimum bid increments. Bidders much continue to check on the items in which they are interested because someone may have overbid them.

Some of the items included are reciprocating saw, automobile emergency kit, cultured pearl necklace, basket of coffee items, case of motor oil, frames and camera, and a sterling silver necklace with garnets and marquisites.

There is no admission charge and free refreshments will be available.
