Everyone who attended the fall social at Clifford’s Grove Baptist Church Saturday night enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship and lots of good things to eat. There were several different kinds of soups and sandwiches and a large container of chili. An assortment of delicious desserts included cakes, cookies, some were homemade and decorated for Halloween. Claude McKellar brought his truck and trailer and treated all who wanted to go on a fun hayride. Mrs. James Sherrer joined Mrs. Philip Huff and went to Greenwood, S.C., Monday to see Mrs. Statham Huff. She fell recently and broke her hip. She is now a patient in Wesley Commons Nursing Home. Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer were delegates who represented Clifford’s Grove Baptist Church at the 221st Georgia Baptist Association Annual Fall Meeting at Union Point Baptist Church Tuesday night. Mrs. Pam McCarty and Mrs. Angie Strother spent Saturday on a business trip to Atlanta. Tad Hopkins III of Lawrenceville visited his grandmother, Mrs. Iris Dyson, Sunday afternoon. David Hopkins and grandson, Seth Cook, of Augusta visited briefly with Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer Friday evening. They spent the night at their campsite and went deer hunting Saturday morning. Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer spent Friday afternoon in Carlton. While there they visited Mrs. Louise Glenn and briefly with her son, Don Glenn. Charlie Branham attended the fall festival at the First United Methodist Church Sunday evening and Whitney Branham joined the youth group for a cookout and hayride at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Cravens.
