Wildlife Action sets turkey shoot for November 19
The Fishing Creek Chapter of Wildlife Action held its October meeting and covered dish supper on Saturday, October 15, with approximately 15 adults and 10 children attending.
Children of all ages enjoyed the roasted marshmallows over the bonfire before leaving on (hayless) hayride.
Ballots for the current board of directors were turned in for counting and the results will be announced at the next meeting on November 14 at 6:30 p.m.
Members voted to have a turkey shoot on November 19 and muzzleloaders will be included.
The club has been selling tickets on a model 700 Remington ADL rifle, winner’s choice on caliber. The drawing will be held at the November meeting. Tickets are $1.00 and members have tickets available.
A National Rifle Association Basic Pistol Class is being formed and will be taught at the Wildlife Action Range off Harris Road.
