Fifth Sunday Worship to be held Oct. 30 at 7 at Presbyterian Church
What would happen if a Church of God preacher “really preached it” in the sanctuary of a very traditional Presbyterian church?
The public is invited to find out when Wilkes Ministers United offers another opportunity for ecumenical worship!
The Fifth Sunday Worship Service is at the historic Washington Presbyterian Church this Sunday evening, October 30, at 7 p.m. The speaker will be Church of God pastor Rev. Patrick Owens.
“The blended nature of these worship services helps deepen our ties with one another, exposes us to different worship styles, and helps us to talk to other believers about their faith; but mostly, it helps us to just love one another,” says Washington Presbyterian pastor Randy Hardy.
Services throughout the year have served to strengthen community bonds as well as connections among pastors in the community, according to Hardy.
On November 20, the First Methodist Church will host WMU’s annual Thanksgiving service with Dr. John Via delivering the message.
