The Washington Police Department has been busy receiving toys and gifts for its Toys for Tots program which will culminate next Tuesday, December 20, when Santa Claus himself will arrive to distribute the toys to dozens of local children who might not otherwise receive Christmas gifts. The department is still accepting donations, however, and will welcome any new toy or gift to add to Santa’s pack. Santa is scheduled to arrive at the police department at 9 a.m.Tuesday. Until then Police Chief Mike Davis and Assistant Chief Theodosia Glenn (above) will have to cope with their ever-shrinking office space.
