Washington Dialysis Facility gets regional facility of the year kudos
DaVita’s Washington Dialysis Facility has received the Regional Top Facility of the Year Award.
The award was presented during the Southern Stars Annual Divisional Meeting and Awards Night on Thursday, December 8, at Daufuskie Island, S.C.
The award was presented to Sonya Roth, RN, Washington Facility Administrator, by Regional Director Hermina Yarde and Divisional Vice-President Bob Perraud.
The Southern Stars Division includes facilities in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. The Washington Facility was recognized due to consistent results with patient outcomes and consistent performance in all respects.
Currently, 52 patients are treated at Washington Dialysis three times per week. The Washington team also provides acute treatments to patients during hospitalizations at Wills Memorial Hospital.
The team was honored at a breakfast on Monday, December 12, by their administrator, Sonya Roth. They enjoyed chicken and tenderloin biscuits, cheese grits, eggs, fruit tray, and chocolate brownies for dessert.
Teammates at the Washington facility are Dr. B.N. Kuppuswamy, medical director; Sonya Roth, RN, facility administrator; Melissa Turman, administrative assistant; Heather Ansley, dietician; Gerry Dukes, social worker; Dollie Gaye, patient intake coordinator; Tonia Ryll, RN, charge nurse; Anna Hogan, RN, charge nurse; Debbit Tutt, LPN, preceptor; Peggy Andrews, LPN, Bennie Jenkins, patient care and reuse tech; Tracy Hardigree, patient care and reuse tech/reuse preceptor; and Santhony Dawson, BioMed tech.
