New Ford wishes veterans, families, a Merry Christmas

The Veterans Ministry of New Ford Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. James White, wishes to sincerely say “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year” to all Wilkes County veterans, service members, and their families.

“As we go about this season of sharing, giving, and celebrating, we pray that all will remember that ‘Jesus is the reason for the season,’” said Rev. White. He further asked that all Wilkes County citizens, and especially all veterans who are blessed to be home with their families and out of harm’s way, send up a prayer for a forthwith and safe homecoming for all our young men and women who are serving in far and remote places – even in war.

“Our ministry further encourages all veterans and all our citizens to reach out during this Christmas season to the families of our service men and women who can’t be home for Christmas,” he added. “Let us share the joy of Christmas with them and let them know that they and their service members are in our thoughts and prayers.”

If you desire special prayer for your family member who is a veteran or an active duty service member, please contact Rev. Ed Anderson, Sr. at P. O. Box 903, Washington, Georgia, 30673, or email him at edanderson@bellsouth.net.
