Free legal help set for January 3 at local library
The Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) provides free legal help to low-income people with civil (non-criminal) legal problems.
A staff member from GLSP will travel to meet with people seeking free legal help in Wilkes, Taliaferro, and Lincoln counties on the first Tuesday of each month on a firstcome, first served basis.
The next scheduled visit is on Tuesday, January 3, 2006, from 12:30-3:00 p.m., at the Mary Willis Library, 204 East Liberty Street, Washington.
The GLSP office which serves the three counties is in Augusta at 209 Seventh Street, Suite 400. Citizens may call the office to ask for help with legal problems, or may meet with the staff during the scheduled visit.
Make local calls to the Augusta office at 706-721-2327. If long distance, call the toll-free number at 1800-248-6697.
