Popes host FBC Bible Searchers dinner, fellowship
The Adult Bible Searchers of the First Baptist Church gathered in the home of Edward and Susan Pope on Spring Street Saturday evening, December 10, for the annual Christmas dinner and fellowship.
Mr. Pope welcomed members and offered the blessing for the covered dish dinner and dessert.
After dinner everyone gathered in the living room for the gift exchange which, as always, brought much laughter as many “gifts” were making a second or third appearance. The traditional “Twelve Days of Christmas” was sung as was “Silent Night” during a time of fellowship. Several musical games were also enjoyed.
Holiday decorations were used throughout the home for the occasion.
Present with the hosts were Bill and Teresa Bishop, Lisa Franklin, Gary and Dean Mansfield, Pug and Kay Nelms, Jim and Shelby Caddell, Gene and Lynne Land, and Lloyd and Bobbie Sue Johnson.
