Mary C. Reid WOM group meets Dec. 6 at FBC

The Mary C. Reid Women on Mission of the First Baptist Church met Tuesday morning, December 6, in the conference room.

Mrs. Dennis Hopkins presided and led the reading of the WMU Watchword.

Mrs. Gene Pollock, program chairman for the meeting, presented a program from “Mosaic” magazine on strategic planning for foreign missions to reach specific people groups around the world who had not heard the Christmas message.

Several members participated. Mrs. Hopkins began with a description of strategy coordinators, specifically the work of a South Asia missionary and offered a prayer. Continuing the program were Mrs. Eldon Holes, Mrs. C.H. Randall Jr., Mrs. Gene Pollock, Mrs. Mary Ann Bentley, Mrs. Rose Bennett, Mrs. James Johnson and Mrs. Charlie Jordan, each describing the work with a different people group in different nations. Mrs. Pollock closed the program with prayer.

Mrs. Randall presented the prayer calendar and led in prayer for the missionaries.

Those with special needs were remembered by Mrs. Eldon Holes.

Plans were made for a Christmas gift for Penfield Christian Home.

Mrs. Johnson closed the meeting in prayer.
