Booker Scholarship to celebrate 25th anniversary Christmas Day
The Reese J. Booker Scholarship Fund Committee will celebrate its silver anniversary for 25 years of helping college students on Sunday, December 25, at 6 p.m. The program will be held at the Marks Tabernacle Baptist Church on Lexington Avenue.
This organization has helped more than 300 college students. “We are asking all the recipients of the Reese J. Booker Scholarship to be our special guests and share what they are currently doing and help others to succeed in their college career,” says Clara Sutton, chairman of the scholarship program.
Evangelist Mildred Hawes Howard, Rev. Lance Pitts, and Evangelist Marcella E. Harden are scheduled to give encouraging remarks to college students.
Special music will be by the Mulberry Young Adult Choir, Reeves Chapel Choir, Pole Branch Choir, Robert King, Reginald Jones, Pauline Chapel’s Inspirational Choir, Cherry Grove combined choirs, and others.
All churches and choirs are invited to participate, and everyone is invited to attend.
