MLK holiday parade set for Monday, January 16

The United Community Awareness Program (UCAP) will sponsor its annual Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) parade on Monday, January 16, beginning at 1 p.m.

Churches, civic organizations, and clubs are invited to participate. The entry fee is $10.00.

The parade will-line up at Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School (rear) at noon, proceed down Hospital Drive to Whitehall, and then to the Edward B. Pope Community Center on Lexington Avenue.

UCAP will also sponsor a MLK Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, January 14, at 10 a.m., at the Third Shiloh Center. Tickets are $6.00.
