Funeral services for Henry Clark Walton, 86, of Delhi Road, Tignall, were held Monday, January 2, 2006, at Pope’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Tignall, with Rev. Paul Reviere officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. He died Saturday, December 31, at his home.

Mr. Walton was a native and lifelong resident of Wilkes County. He was the son of the late Henry Oscar Walton and Julia Pullen Walton and the widower of Lois Bufford Walton. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Tabor Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, James Thomas “Slim” Walton; and a sister, Marie W. Bradley, Tignall.

Pallbearers included Kason Bradley, Robbie Bradley, Jimmy Walton, Hugh Walton, Chris Bufford, and Roy Harrison Jr. Honorary pallbearers included Bill Echols, James Echols, Harold Echols Jr., and Sam Bradley.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
