A memorial service for Margaret Ann Carter, 64, who died Friday, December 23, 2005, will be held at a date to be announced.

Mrs. Carter was a native of Summerlee, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Lonnie Rorrer and Kathryn Showalter and Rufus Gabe. Her first husband was the late Kenneth Richard Churning.

Survivors include her husband, Austin Michael Carter; children, Kenneth Churning Jr., Apple Valley, Calif., Mark Churning, Washington, Steffanie Land and Samm Blumenshine, Lexington, Michael Carter, Grove, Okla., Chuck Carter, Beckley, W.Va., Lonnie Carter, Wagner, S.D., John Carter, Lexington, and Kassie Arroyo, Washington; a sister, Maryetta Singh, Washington State; a brother, Howard Rorrer, Oshkosh, Wisc.; 25 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
