Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey Partain and Mrs. Angela Adams, Bethany, Chelsea and Eric, of Madison and Bryan Partain of Nashville, Tenn., were holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. David McClearen. •Visiting during the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Randall Jr. were Mr. and Mrs. Randy Randall, Taylor and Kelley, of Clinton, S.C., Joe Randall, Jake and Griffin, of Atlanta and Lyn Randall and Bill Cannon of Tybee Island. •Mr. and Mrs. John Overstreet celebrated Christmas in Martinez with their children, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Young, Justin and Tyler. •Steve Blackmon, Mrs. Robert Wallace, Mrs. William C. Johnson, Henry Bowen and Mrs. Jim Lindsey, accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. John Kirsch of Marietta, were among those from the area in Statesboro to join in celebrating the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Bunce. The guests enjoyed dinner with the Bunces at RJ Restaurant and a dessert and celebration at the Bunce home. Mrs. Bunce is the former Nona Caroline Quinn of Washington. •Mrs. Dennis Hopkins, Billy Hopkins, Gene Hopkins, Candy Wilson, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pope Jr. were in Lavonia on Friday before Christmas to attend the funeral of their brother-in-law and uncle, John Gill. •Mr. and Mrs. Clary Young spent three days at Jekyll Island in celebration of their sixth anniversary. A highlight of the trip was dinner in the Grand Dining Room of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. •Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Warren Jr. joined other family and friends for Christmas breakfast at the home of their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Phil McLanahan and Emily, in Elberton. On Monday after Christmas, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Warren Jr., Catherine and Claire, of Avondale Estates arrived for an overnight visit and were joined by the McLanahans on Monday evening for a Christmas dinner. •Mrs. John Kirsch of Marietta visited during the New Year holiday weekend with her mother, Mrs. Jim Lindsey. •Mr. and Mrs. William Niemann II, Mandy, Melanie, Naomi and Brooke, of Powder Springs, Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Young, Levi and Lily, of Thomson, Ernie Ward and Suzanne Reese of Woodstock and Mr. and Mrs. Randy Long were holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Niemann. •Rev. and Mrs. Chris Townsend and sons, Garston and Henry, spent Christmas Day with Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Townsend and family in Atlanta. They spent Christmas week with Mrs. Townsend’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Grimes in Memphis, Ind. They gathered at the Chuck Jordan home for a gift exchange and enjoyed the Sunday brunch at Ansley Golf Club. •Mr. and Mrs. Tim Barden, Graham and Colton, of Buford, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Payne, Hannah and Christian, and Mrs. Charlotte Payne of Bogart and Mr. and Mrs. Greg Fanning, Austin and Kaeleigh, were guests Christmas Day with Mr. and Mrs. Pierce Barden. •Mrs. Charles Jordan accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Tim Milam, Mary Grace and Ellie, of Alpharetta to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Milam in Cumming for a Christmas Day celebration. •Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Nelms of Lake Hartwell spent Monday and Tuesday before Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nelms. While the ladies shopped around Washington, the men visited in Augusta with their cousin, David Palmisano. Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Nelms also visited her mother, Mrs. Felton Corbett, and enjoyed dinner at White Columns in Thomson. •Mrs. E. E. Pasco joined her son, Doug Pasco of Marietta, for Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Laymon, Anna, Matt, and Katie, in Chattanooga, Tenn. Other guests were Dorothy Crimi, Dr. Lanier Randall, Charlotte and Rachel, of Huntsville, Ala. •Christmas Day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Gunter Jr., were Mr. and Mrs. Cread Brown and Luke of Thomson and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hale, Emmeline and Isabelle, of Athens. Joining them in the afternoon was Mrs. Edwin Fortson of Tignall. •Steve Callaway of Donner, La., is visiting this week with Mrs. Milton Callaway. Other visitors included Baron Callaway of Orangeburg, S. C. •Mr. and Mrs. Harris Blackmon enjoyed a pre-Christmas western Caribbean cruise in celebration of her birthday aboard the Norwegian Cruise Liner Majesty. They left Charleston, S.C., and enjoyed stops in Georgetown, Cozumel and Key West on the week-long excursion. •Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Hopkins Jr. of Fort Worth, Tex., visited several days with Mrs. W.A. Drinkard and family during the holidays. •Mr. and Mrs. Sparky Newsome, Lizzie, Daniel and Molly Newsome spent the Tuesday and Wednesday after Christmas with Mrs. Faye Maloney in Doraville and visited with other family members. On December 29, Lizzie joined Mr. and Mrs. Mark Holmes, Justin Holmes, and Abby Holmes of Oviedo, Fla., for a Caribbean cruise, returning on January 2.
