Rayle EMC taking applications for five scholarships The Rayle Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) is currently accepting applications for five scholarship that will be awarded to deserving students from each of the five directorate districts that it serves. The scholarships are open to anyone who has not yet completed a bachelor’s degree and is attending or planning to attend a two or fouryear accredited university, college, or technical school in Georgia within the next two years. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic ability and financial need. Application forms and other scholarship criteria are available at schools located in Rayle EMC’s electric service area and at all three co-op office locations. Students interested in applying for the scholarship should contact Jeff Paul at Rayle EMC, (706) 678-2116, to receive an application packet. Applications may be submitted to the nearest co-op office, or they can be mailed to Jeff Paul, Scholarship Program Coordinator, Rayle EMC, P.O. Box 1090, Washington, Ga. 30673. In addition to the application form, applicants will need to submit an autobiography, school transcripts, letters of recommendation and proof of enrollment or an acceptance letter. Applications must be submitted to Rayle EMC no later than February 3. Two applicants will also be entered in the Georgia EMC’s statewide Walter Harrison Scholarship Contest. |
