After spending most of the week in Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Mrs. Juanita Bradford came home Friday and is somewhat better. We hope she will continue to recover and soon be able to be out and about. Rev. and Mrs. O’Neil Martin visited Mrs. Juanita Bradford at Doctors Hospital Monday afternoon. Mrs. James Sherrer visited her in her home Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer attended the funeral of Miss Clifford Shank Monday afternoon at Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was a lovely lady and will be missed by her many friends. Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of Mrs. Evelyn Goldman who passed away Thursday after a long illness. Many friends and relatives attended her funeral at Hephzibah Baptist Church Saturday afternoon. James Sherrer visited Mr. and Mrs. Marion Spinks and Mrs. Louise Glenn in Carlton Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Evans Davis visited Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scoggins and family in Augusta Saturday afternoon. Jay Durham of Washington visited Reid Filipiak Saturday afternoon. Jay Filipiak of Atlanta also visited recently. Whitney and Charlie Branham spent Sunday night with Benjamin and Whitley Hodges. Mrs. Ruth Hopkins, who is a resident at Forest Lake Health Care in Martinez, was honored on her 92nd birthday with a lovely party given by her daughter Peggy Sunday afternoon at Forest Lake. Attending from our area were Mrs. Roch Filipiak, Reid Filipiak, Mrs. Iris Dyson, and Mrs. James Sherrer. Mrs. Hopkins is recovering nicely from her broken hip and looked so pretty at her party.
