Kenneth Shank of Tucker; Mrs. Ruth S. Randman of Jackson, Miss., and Mrs. Joe Shank of Lexington, S.C., came last week to attend the funeral of Miss Clifford Shank. There were also other cousins who attended. Russell Goldman of Doraville spent Sunday with Mrs. Sara Huff. Russ was pianist for Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Sunday morning and he and Sara were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Standard and Peyton. Alec Dunaway visited Mr. and Mrs. Billy Dunnaway, Linda Standard, Sara Huff, and Mrs. Louise Burt last week. He also attended Miss Clifford’s funeral. I attended the funeral of Page Robert Prater at Goshen Baptist Church in Lincoln County Saturday. It was a sweet service and very meaningful. There was a large number of people there. He will be missed by many. Saturday evening I had supper with Mrs. Melva Crook, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Tunnell of Winder, and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Norman at Mrs. Crook’s home. Mrs. Walter Tuttle visited Mr. and Mrs. Hill O’Neal at Tyrone Saturday. On Sunday she visited Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Newsome, Brandon and Jacob. We send our love and sympathy to all who recently lost loved ones. Our prayers are especially for you. Thornton, Tom Duggan, Mary Duggan, the families of Lola Mae Davis, Page Prater, Miss Clifford Shank, Gene Parker, and Evelyn Goldman. Freddy Martin of Micanopy, Fla., is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Gay. He is Lois’ brother. Shane Barnett, Trace and Tanner, and Hunter Chester of Jackson County visited G.B. and Sherry Newsome Sunday. Burt Newsome also visited. G.B. and I joined other family members and visited Mr. and Mrs. Henry N. Wallace Sunday evening. There will be a fifth Sunday night singing at Ebenezer Baptist Church January 29. Plan to attend and bring a friend. I was not up to church Sunday (I hate to miss) but was informed that Bob Marett and Johnny Shelton were elected deacons.
