Funeral services for Evelyn Martin Goldman, 75, of Washington Road, Lincolnton, were held Saturday, January 14, 2006, at Hephzibah Baptist Church, Lincolnton, with Rev. Allen Danner and Rev. Randy Dunaway officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died Thursday, January 12, at Wilkes Health Care Center, Washington.

Mrs. Goldman was the daughter of the late James and Maggie Martin and was the widow of John Delos (J.D.) Goldman. She was a retired textile employee and a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, John “Sonny” Goldman of Jefferson; two sisters, Nannie Ruth Walton of Lincolnton, and Lanette Drinkard of Washington; two grandchildren, Jason Goldman and Myriah Goldman; and a great-grandchild, Kane Goldman.

Pallbearers included Donald Dunaway, Claude McKellar, Mike Tyler, Kenneth Reed, Mike Sisson, and Gary Walton.

Rees Funeral Home of Lincolnton was in charge of arrangements.
