Myrline Thornton honored at 80th birthday reception
Mrs. Myrline Thornton Mrs. Myrline Thornton was honored on her 80th birthday at a reception at the Fitzpatrick Hotel in Washington on Saturday, December 10, given by her family. Mrs. Thornton’s birthday was December 28.
In honor of the occasion Mrs. Thornton was presented a corsage of red roses to complement her red jacket.
Mrs. Thornton and her guests enjoyed a delicious assortment of party foods, punch and coffee in addition to her birthday cake.
The cake table held her satellite cakes adorned with roses, poinsettias and gypsophila. The table was covered in white and accented with white tulle and red ribbon.
During the party, guests viewed a power point presentation of her life and the talents of Ted Hudson of Jackson who delighted guests with special songs requested by the guest of honor.
Approximately 80 family members and friends attended.
On her birthday Mrs. Thornton celebrated with family at dinner in Athens.
