Garston Townsend honored at Thomas the Tank Engine party
Garston Lee Townsend, son of Chris and Tara Townsend, was three years old on Friday, January 13, and celebrated with a party Saturday, January 14, in the Mary Callaway Burton Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church.
Garston celebrated with a Thomas the Tank Engine party and a Thomas the Tank Engine banner and tablecloth were used in decorating. His birthday cake was decorated with a Thomas engine.
Garston and his friends enjoyed playing outside, coloring Thomas coloring pages, watching a DVD of Thomas and Friends, opening presents and eating cake and ice cream.
Guests received goody bags filled with crayons, play dough, bubbles, Thomas stickers, M&M’s and fruit snacks.
Celebrating with Garston and his parents were his brother, Henry; Sara, Bobbie and Morgan Peacock; Jeff, Amy, Emily and Ella Treadwell; Lester, Amy and Trey Johnston; Lavonda and Brett Tanner; and Krista, Kirby and Zach Smith of Monroe.
That evening Garston, his parents and brother, Henry, enjoyed a birthday dinner at Rafferty’s in Athens with his grandparents, Ronnie and Sandy Townsend of Atlanta, and aunt and niece, Tiffany and Audrey Tabor, of Lilburn.
Garston also celebrated with his Mother’s Morning Out class at First Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 11, with homemade cupcakes and goody bags for everyone.
