Iris Garden Club hears program on ‘Old Fashioned Plants’ Jan. 10

Catherine Drewry of Crawford was guest speaker at the meeting of the Iris Garden Club Tuesday, January 10, at the Episcopal Parish House.

Laura Toburen introduced Mrs. Drewry, owner of Catherine Bowen Drewry Flower Gardens in Crawford. A landscape designer and consultant, Mrs. Drewry gave a very interesting program entitled “Old Fashioned Plants” and included a beautiful and informative slide presentation.

Prior to her program, Karen Stubbs, presided, welcomed members and guests and expressed appreciation to the hostesses, Marcia Campbell, Eleanor Blackmon, Mary Ann Bentley and Ruth Adams.

A business meeting was held after the program.

It was noted that the club will attend the Southeastern Flower Show in Atlanta and those planning to attend should be at the parking lot of the Washington Little Theater at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8.
