Lindsey Guin and Ashley Burt of Washington-Wilkes are members of the M.E. Sting fastpitch softball team of the Martinez/Evans area which won the ISA Winter National Tournament in Winter Haven, Fla. The team is made up of girls 16 years old and under.

The team went 5-0 in tournament play to win.

Ashley plays third base and Lindsey plays second base. Lindsey is also the team captain.

The team roster includes players from Washington, Lexington, North Augusta, and Aiken, S.C., Martinez and Evans.

Lindsey is the daughter of Belle and Bob Guin; and Ashley is the daughter of Lisa and Dennis Burt.
