TO THE EDITOR:

Recently in the Wilkes County News-Reporter there was a picture of dead elks piled on a wagon which I found offensive.

I have nothing against sportsmanship done in the humane way. However, I feel the picture of elks piled on a wagon in the recent News-Reporter shows poor sportsmanship and an inhumane approach which conveys a lack of respect towards animal life and people who love and respect all of God’s creatures to include elk.
