Singing group sets concert Sun., Jan. 29
“Faith Mountain Ministries,” a singing group from Solomon’s Porch House of Worship in Augusta, will present a concert of Gospel music at the Washington Church of God, Sunday, January 29.
The church is located at 1365 Tignall Road, Washington. Pastor Pat Owens extends an invitation to anyone interested to attend the concert which will begin at 11 a.m.
Faith Mountain Ministries was founded by Les and Terrie Lamb in 2002 after being a part of Wayne Williford and Good News Ministries for eight years. Kathie Hood, who formerly sang with ministries including The Redemption Singers, The Brazell’s and The Gloryland Singers, officially joined them in 2003.
The group enjoys singing the classic Southern Gospel songs and often incorporates praise and worship music along with a bit of Blue Grass. The trio is joined by Mrs. Hood’s daughter, Melissa Russell, who occasionally sings and plays percussion instruments. Les and Terrie’s son, Brandon Faircloth, is the group’s drummer.
