Night of soup and bingo set for Feb. 18 starting at 6 p.m.
The North Wilkes Steering Committee (official sponsor of the I’d Rather Be in Tignall Festival) will host a night of soup and bingo on Saturday night, February 18, at six o’clock.
The menu consists of vegetable soup, cornbread, pimiento cheese sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, iced tea, coffee, and beautiful homemade desserts – all this for only $6.00. Take-outs will be available. Where else can you spend a mere $6.00 for a Saturday night supper?
Later in the evening, we will pull out the bingo game. Cost will be 50 cents per card, three for $1.00. We have great prizes lined up – something for everyone.
Now about that vegetable soup. We have all had good vegetable soup, all right vegetable soup, bad vegetable soup, but if you have not had vegetable soup seasoned with Celeste Adams’ magic potion, then you need to come on out for a really special treat.
Also, Aunt Bea just might step right out of the kitchen.
