The North Wilkes Steering Committee met Tuesday, January 17, at the Tignall Lunchroom at 6:30 p.m., with the following members present: Gloria Ware and Carolyn Gammon, co-chairmen; Nobie Keener, Margie Bunch, Celeste Adams, Margaret Fortson, Cissy Rogers, Brooke Dawson, Eudora Huyck, and a visitor, Whitney Dawson.

The committee met to plan the February soup and bingo night. Plans were also made for some more repair work on the lunchroom. If anyone has used the lunchroom lately, you will see that the steering committee has made some tremendous improvements.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 7, at 6:30 p.m., to finalize plans for the soup and bingo night. Does anyone know the weather forecast? The meetings seem to always be on stormy nights.
