The W-WCHS Lady Tigers continue to fly high and now stand in command of second place in region 7-A with an impressive record of 8-1 after securing a 35-31 decision over Aquinas in Augusta Tuesday night.

Only Hancock Central, at 9-0, is better in the region and those girls will be here this Friday when the Lady Tigers will attempt to even the score and move into a tie for first place.

At Aquinas, Diundra Doughty led the scoring for the W-W ladies with 11 points. Jaleesa Hampton shot eight points and Mawanua Ware hit the cords for six. Shaneesia Williams scored four points while Ashley Kearney and Angel Acree contributed three apiece.

Game time this Friday is 7 p.m. and Head Coach Jackson Calhoun urges all fans to come cheer the girls on to victory.
