Registration begins tomorrow for the Spring 2006 youth soccer season at Washington-Wilkes Parks and Recreation on Lexington Avenue, and the department is looking for a little help with the new field.

For the spring season, children will be registered in four age groups: 5-6 years old, 7-8 years old, 9-11 years old, and 12-15. To register in the youngest group, children must be 5 years of age before April 1, 2006.

Registration will run from January 27 through March 3. Registration fees are $30 for the first child and $25 for the second child.

Practice begins the week of March 6, and games begin March 27. Games will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. A full practice and game schedule will be provided at the first practice.

Director Pete Gartrell said that the department is accepting donations to cover the cost of a fence and a scoreboard for the new soccer fields.
