Interested persons may call the church office at 678-2912 for more information and a brochure. Four years ago, under the leadership of Kevin and Alicia Madden, a new church was planted in Westbank, British Columbia, Canada. Kevin and Alicia Madden are the son and daughter-in-law of Wayne and Nancy Madden of Washington Wilkes.
The Potter’s House Community Church in Westbank has grown through the leadership of the Maddens and the church has been the recipient of sacrificial gifts, fervent prayers, lasting friendship, and unwavering partnerships. Members of the Potter’s House have been seeking a way to share their many miraculous blessings with their friends here in the South, especially First Baptist Church, Washington.
On April 20, 21, and 22, 15 Canadian women from the Westbank area will lead a conference on the transforming events of the Potter’s House at the First Baptist Church in Washington-Wilkes.
The conference – “Unveiled – A Conference for Women Who Desire to Experience God” — will begin on Thursday evening, April 20. Registration is from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Session one of the conference will begin at 7 p.m. in the Mary Callaway Burton Fellowship Hall.
On Friday, April 21, session two will begin at 9:30 a.m. Breakout sessions are at 11 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Session three at 7 p.m. will conclude Friday’s activities.
The closing session for the conference will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 22. A lunch will be provided on Friday and Saturday at 12 p.m.
The cost of the conference is $50.00. Registration forms may be obtained by calling the office of First Baptist at 678-2912.
