Kathryn Anderson made this English Flower Garden quilt for her daughter, Linda Oliver, and has made others for family members. Carolyn Gammon, the roving reporter, visited with Mrs. Kathryn Anderson on Monday, January 23.

Carolyn had heard about a beautiful quilt Kathryn had just finished. She found more than one beautiful quilt. Kathryn has made quilts for all her family. She is a very talented lady and says quilting is her therapy.

The picture accompanying this article is the English Flower Garden pattern and has a beautiful colored flower in each square. Kathryn made this quilt for her daughter, Linda Oliver, who lives in Lexington, S.C.

She showed quilts she had made for her son Jeff; her daughter, Billy Ann Smith; and her granddaughter, Katie Anderson, who is a student at Georgia Southern University.

Her children must be very proud of these quilts with all the work and love that have gone into each one. Kathryn says all she does is cook and sew. She is known for her great cooking. That seems like a full life to me.

One feels uplifted after visiting with Kathryn Anderson.
