Homemakers hold year’s first meeting with 17 attending
The first meeting of the year of the Tignall Homemakers Club began with the president, Sally Kennedy, sharing some entertaining newspaper clippings, clipped by her mother some years ago. She then welcomed a visitor, Mabel Johnson.
Edna Lamar read a poem encouraging readers to make use of the fresh start suggested by a new, blank calendar.
The club voted to use transfers provided by Pat Mack to embroider a quilt featuring the flower emblem of each state.
Members put together the pages of the new 2006 club booklet prepared by Celeste Adams.
Refreshments were provided by Dr. Sophia Bamford, Susan Mason, and Joan Baker.
