Mr. and Mrs. Steve Shuman of Rayle announce the birth of their son, Nathan Michael, on Wednesday, January 25, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens. He weighed 7 lbs. 12 ozs. Nathan has a sister, Taylor, who is 5½ years old.

Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Keith Martin of Greensboro. Maternal great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bill Crawford of Greensboro and Mr. and Mrs. Buster Martin of Woodville. Mrs. Rosa Ruth Bustin of Greensboro is the maternal great-great-grandmother.

Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Randy Shuman of Union Point. Paternal great-grandparents are Mrs. Sally Sorrow and Harvey Sorrow of Union Point and Mrs. Betty Shuman of Vidalia. Mrs. Mary Dell of Vidalia is the paternal great-great-grandmother.

Mrs. Shuman is the former Brandy Martin of Greensboro.
