Tells of children's home in Macon

Brian Evans, Executive Director of the Georgia Industrial Children's Home (GICH) in Macon, Georgia, was the guest speaker at Tuesday's meeting of the Washington Kiwanis Club. He discussed the operation and history of the Children's Home which is located on 130 acres near Wesylan College with a staff of over 50 providing child support for abused children. Evans also told about how children find their way to the home, training and education at the home, and other aspects of child care utilized while trying to replicate a normal home environment. Mark Waters (left) was program chairman for the day.
