Beth Lannae honored at bridal shower March 4th

May bride-elect Beth Lannae of Evans was entertained at a miscellaneous bridal shower on Saturday morning, March 4, at the home of Mrs. William C. Johnson on East Robert Toombs Avenue. Co-hostesses with Mrs. Johnson were Mrs. Charles Adair, Mrs. Ben Bell and Mrs. Buddy Lindsey.

Miss Lannae was lovely in a black and white houndstooth silk jacket accented with a pink attached ribbon belt. Complementing her ensemble was a corsage of Alstroemeria lilies.

Guests registered in the bride's book in the spacious front hall and greeted the bride-elect and hostesses.

Fresh garden spring flowers were used in decorating throughout the house.

In the dining room the table, covered with a white cutwork cloth, was centered with a beautiful arrangement of Rubrum lilies. Chicken salad in timbales, heart-shaped ham biscuits, cheese straws, petits fours, pecan cookies, fudge, divinity and punch were served from silver appointments.

The hostesses presented Miss Lannae two dinner forks in her informal flatware.

Forty guests were invited. Among the guests attending were the brideelect's mother, Mrs. Tommy Wells, and stepmother, Mrs. Lamont Lannae of Washington; grandmother, Mrs. Herb Cole of LaFayette and stepgrandmother, Mrs. Tom Wells of Washington; her sister, Amy Lannae of Athens; her aunt, Mrs. James Nicholson of Douglasville; her stepsister, Mrs. Robin Shackleford of Atlanta; the prospective bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Donald Rainey and grandmother, Mrs. Glin Rainey of Buchanan; also Mary Ellen Lindsey of Charlotte, N.C. and Mrs. Phil McLanahan of Elberton
