TO THE EDITOR:

The Washington-Wilkes FFA beef and dairy exhibitors participated in the 2006 Georgia Junior National Livestock Show February 22-26 in Perry.

During these five days, 24 students exhibited their beef heifers and steers, and dairy heifers in showmanship and weight classes.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following individuals and businesses for sponsoring our club at the show: Bi-Lo, Ingles, Family Dollar, Maxway, Griffin Store, McDonald's, Wendy's, Lisa Chapman, and the Wilkes County Young Farmers.

A special thanks to our FFA advisers, Nathan Heaton and Jay Murray, and Young Farmer adviser, Eric Holton, for their help before, during and after the show.
